FengShuiFunOnTheRun.com: Should you be living with a teen, it is necessary to let them be a mess. Let them put up images on their walls, no matter the holes or the tears. You could put up cork board, but it's not necessary. What IS necessary is that they have a safe space to test out all the incoming information in their lives. Their awareness is spreading out from figuring out how to work their bodies into figuring out how to work with their emotions. You remember that particular challenge, right? When you allow them to safely test how things feel in their personal space, they can identify what is yucky and what is yummy. Let them experiment. Encourage them to try new things. Be there and keep your mouth shut. Let THEM figure it out. This isn't your turn now.
